We were thrilled to join in the recent celebration of the Surfers Beachfront Markets’ 30th birthday — a true milestone for one of the Gold Coast’s most iconic craft markets! Since its inception in 1995, the markets have been a vibrant gathering place set alongside the famous Surfers Paradise Esplanade, showcasing the best in artisan goods, handmade crafts, fresh produce, and gourmet delights. This special birthday was a wonderful reminder of the creativity, community spirit, and family-friendly atmosphere that have made the markets so beloved over three decades.

The 30th birthday celebrations brought an incredible fun atmosphere, with so much to see and do for visitors of all ages. Our Festive Storefront and Award
To mark the special occasion, we dressed up our storefront with festive decorations that captured the joyful spirit of the celebration. We were honored to win a prize for one of the best-dressed stores, sharing the spotlight with fellow stallholder Mad Mutts! This recognition was a wonderful way to show our pride in being part of the Surfers Beachfront Markets family and to contribute to the vibrant market atmosphere.
Our Journey with Surfers Beachfront Markets
Our story with Surfers Beachfront Markets began in 2005 when Matt and Lana first launched Original Graffix custom airbrushed hats here. We moved to the Gold Coast in 2008 to help with the growing demands of Original Graffix. Over the years, through changes and challenges, we have evolved from a larger team into a dedicated couple running a true family business. We are proud to be veterans of these markets, holding close the values and community spirit that have kept us thriving for so many years.
Being part of the Surfers Beachfront Markets for nearly two decades has shaped our journey and allowed us to connect with so many wonderful people, from fellow stallholders to loyal customers. It’s been an incredible experience growing alongside this beloved craft market that champions creativity, local talent, and genuine connections.
